After working as an architect for 35 years, I retired in 2022. My career focused on architecture for science and healthcare, spanning all scales,  with a single-minded emphasis on design. I was a partner at Payette, a major Boston-based architectural firm, winner of the AIA Firm Award in 2019. My work at Payette was recognized with dozens of national and international design awards, and it has been published and shown at exhibitions.  In addition, I have been active lecturing, teaching, writing articles and essays, and participating in design award juries.

I have always relied on visual representation (“visualization”) to communicate design. Since my retirement, I dedicate my time to watercolor, as I continue my explorations into the composition of form, color, and value.
